For in-kind assistance, please contact your municipality first. Collection actions in individual communities can then be reported to the Ministry of the Interior, where transport and distribution will be coordinated.
In Graz, you can donate relief goods for refugee Ukrainian families/children to be taken to the Polish border from 9am-2pm at the Vinothek im Hof at Hans Sachs Gasse 12. Most needed are shoes in all sizes, warm garments, blankets and medicines.

Residence status
On Thursday, March 3, 2022, the EU states jointly agreed that refugees from Ukraine will receive a protection status, provisionally for one year and extendable up to three years. They will have legal residence (after registration) even after the 90 days they can enter as tourists, and will receive an e-card.

VolkswagenStiftung Funding for Refugee Scholars and Scientists from Ukraine
PhD students, postdocs and established scientists of all disciplines have the opportunity to continue their research work for a period of 6-12 months in a working group at a university or research institute in Germany.
The initiative collects and distributes information about opportunities for Ukrainian researchers. The team is currently looking for organizations/people that are collecting, coordinating information in Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Moldova, CzechRepublic and Austria.
