For in-kind assistance, please contact your municipality first. Collection actions in individual communities can then be reported to the Ministry of the Interior, where transport and distribution will be coordinated.

In Graz, you can donate relief goods for refugee Ukrainian families/children to be taken to the Polish border from 9am-2pm at the Vinothek im Hof at Hans Sachs Gasse 12. Most needed are shoes in all sizes, warm garments, blankets and medicines.

Residence status

On Thursday, March 3, 2022, the EU states jointly agreed that refugees from Ukraine will receive a protection status, provisionally for one year and extendable up to three years. They will have legal residence (after registration) even after the 90 days they can enter as tourists, and will receive an e-card.

Bandaging material availbale at the Montanuniversität

The Department of Chemistry, Chair of General and Analytical Chemistry collects bandaging material to be taken to a hospital in Ukraine. Collection (always on Fridays) at the Chemistry building (first building on the right directly behind the refectory) either on the first floor in room no. 075 or in the same building on the 2nd floor in the Secretariat for General and Analytical Chemistry in room no. 270. The address: Franz Josef Straße 18.

Rotary Club Leoben Donation account for medical material for Ukraine
The donations will be used to purchase medical material at the pharmacy's purchase price and send it to hospitals and medical institutions in Ukraine. When transferring the money, please mention the note "Donation for Ukraine".

VolkswagenStiftung Funding for Refugee Scholars and Scientists from Ukraine

PhD students, postdocs and established scientists of all disciplines have the opportunity to continue their research work for a period of 6-12 months in a working group at a university or research institute in Germany.
