Who is IAESTE?

IAESTE is an international, voluntary, and non-political non-profit organisation, managed by students in Austria. Our goal: to promote the intercultural and professional exchange of students in technical and scientific fields.

Every year, we offer internships in over 80 countries – from Europe and Asia to South America.

IAESTE Leoben is here to support you with any questions about internships abroad and will gladly accompany you through the entire application process.

In addition to our international placement work, we also organise TECONOMY Leoben, the largest career fair at the Technical University of Leoben. It offers students the chance to connect directly with companies from industry and research.

Save the date: March 5, 2026 – TECONOMY 2026 will take place at the EHJ building, with around 60 participating companies from various technical and scientific fields.

More than just “internship finding”

In Leoben, we live an active club life – all in the spirit of “Work. Experience. Discover.” We regularly organise events and parties for students and maintain exchanges with other IAESTE committees both in Austria and abroad. At our so-called "Twinnings," you get to experience traditions, customs, and cultures firsthand – and naturally broaden your personal horizon.
